Diego Cano Lasso portrait

My relationship with architecture began at an early age, when, as a child in Madrid, I would visit my grandfather’s studio [Julio Cano Lasso] and admire how much he enjoyed his work; I wanted to be like him. Later, while studying architecture, I felt the need to explore the world and break free from architectural styles and conventions. I first moved to London and then to Los Angeles, a city that has allowed me to develop an architecture grounded in humanity and rooted in nature. I view architecture as a service to society, one that should be carried out in harmony with the natural world.

Since graduating from SCI-Arc in 2012, I have completed a wide range of buildings—mostly as the American partner of selgascano— where I have developed the skills and experiences necessary to design specific solutions for each project. Believing that behind every great building is a great client, I am eager to meet new clients and explore together how architecture can enrich our lives.
